Main material: yellow 18K gold
Pure gold (24K) has a slightly reddish yellow hue and is soft in texture. It is usually alloyed with other base metals and has a wide range of uses. 18K gold (containing at least 75% pure gold) combines purity and practicality and is considered an ideal material for making watches and jewelry. Traditional yellow 18K gold is an alloy formed by combining with copper, silver and other metals. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high biochemical inertness. It presents a gorgeous color and can be worn on sensitive skin.
sapphire glass
To better appreciate the fine details of the watch, Omega uses scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire glass. Before machining and finishing, sapphire glass is produced using the Werner method (also known as the flame fusion method). It involves using a hydrogen-oxygen flame to melt raw materials and then crystallizing the molten droplets into cylinders. With a Mohs hardness scale of 9 (scale 1-10), the resulting sapphire glass is extremely scratch-resistant and exceptionally hard, ensuring excellent visibility at all times.
